Sabre Corp. has added travel health risk management specialist Gopass Global to its Developer Partner platform, enabling travel agents to see risk scores for flight booking options within Sabre’s global distribution system.
Under the partnership, Gopass’s Travel Risk Optimizer tool can be integrated with Sabre’s GDS via API for agents that are mutual clients, with each booking option rated on a scale of one to 10 for risk stemming from Covid-19. To calculate that score, Risk Optimizer takes into account local infection rates, government policies and data reliability, as well as arrival and exit restrictions, aircraft type and other factors, according to Gopass.
Launched in March 2020 during the onset of the global Covid-19 pandemic, Singapore-based Gopass said it plans to expand its services to offer analysis of other types of travel risk, such as natural disasters, crime and political unrest.
