Flight Centre Travel Group has signed a deal with aggregator technology specialist HotelHub to provide booking content for Flight Centre’s travel management brands, including FCM and Corporate Traveler.
Founded in 2008 to provide agency and self-service booking capabilities for TMCs to offer their corporate clients, London-based HotelHub aggregates content from global distribution systems, online travel agencies and direct suppliers—all of which can be integrated into third-party OBTs via application programming interface.
Flight Centre will pipe HotelHub content into its agent booking tools as well as its in-house OBTs for client self-service. The TMC cited advantages of an aggregated content approach for clients, including increased efficiency for tracking and managing bookings, as well as greater customization capability and enhanced travel visibility for duty of care and compliance purposes.
FCM, Flight Centre’s global flagship brand, currently is in the midst of revamping its core travel booking and management technology platform, with plans to unveil the new platform sometime this year.
